Joeri Ista (1999) is an artist based in the Netherlands. Focused on drawings and ceramic sculptures

Ista’s work portrays intimate storytelling. The viewer is invited into a world full of uncertainty where processing trauma and manifestation is central. This is often bundled into surrealist pencil works, ceramic sculptures and written text. Which arise from collections of photos, thoughts and archive material that are bundled into a whole.

In addition to his autonomous work practice Ista is passionated about nineties house music which he discovered as an young kid when he was given multiple cd’s from the era. He now showcast this library by presenting himself as an (vinyl)-deejay.
